Nike factory announced
Furloughed 42,000 workers
On August 6, the grassroots union of Changshin Vietnam Co., Ltd., one of Nike's main shoe manufacturers in Vietnam, announced:
The Executive Committee of the union has agreed with the board of directors of the company to organize a group outing for all employees of the three factories located in the Yongju District, Long Thanh and Tan Phu districts in Bac Ninh province.
More than 42,000 employees are expected to travel in batches to Dalat City in Lam Tong Province for a three-day, two-night trip.
Given the large number of participants, the campaign will be conducted in phases, with the first phase scheduled to be implemented from September to December 2024.
Mr Dang Tuan Tu, Chairman of the Grassroots Union of Changxin Limited, said the annual event was designed to encourage union members and provide an opportunity for hard-working employees to rest and relax. In the past few years, unions have organized trips for employees to places such as Vouton and Fanche.
The average monthly salary of Changxin Vietnam is more than VND 10.6 million/person.
