Global layoffs
Levi Strauss & Co (LEVI.N), the parent company of Levi's, a world-renowned clothing brand, announced on Thursday that:
10% to 15% of global corporate jobs will be cut to reduce costs. This will generate $110 million to $120 million in restructuring expenses in the first quarter.
It is understood that Levi's has about 20,000 employees around the world, including about 5,000 employees at the company headquarters.
The company also gave the prospect of sales and profits in 2024, but it did not meet the expectations of Wall Street.
